Why Does My Dog Misbehave?
Oftentimes, leadership in the family may not be clear. Your dog has
genetic programming telling it to live by pack rules. The pack leader
is responsible for maintaining the pack rules and keeping the pack safe.
If no one in the family takes control, the dog MUST become the leader.
Dogs don't want the stress involved with being the leader. They are
happiest when they are given fair, clear, and consistent rules in the house
that they can follow.
With the amazing UnlE-ashed™ Method, 4 Paws Down can help your dog succeed in
his home and provide you with a well-behaved, happy dog.
What is the UnlE-ashed™ Method?
Dogs spend their day switching between drives, or their natural attitude toward stimuli in their surrounding
environment. The UnlE-ashed™ Training Method recognizes these drives and focuses on the dog’s natural
desire to want to be part of the human “pack” (i.e.,pack drive). We teach the dog to work with us, not against
us, by motivating him to perform, not punishing him for making a mistake. As a result, you will see a dog who
is happy to be with you and wants to please you. That’s Pack Drive!
Our method doesn’t involve yelling at your dog or pulling on his collar when he doesn’t listen. We also don’t
use “clickers” or “cookies” as we believe these methods generally don’t solve real-world problems and don’t
produce fast and RELIABLE results. Most dogs, given the choice between a cookie or a squirrel will choose
the squirrel!
Because you can't teach what you can't reach, the UnlE-eashed™ Method enables you to communicate with
your dog through the use of a remote collar which is used to gently remind your dog to follow your commands
every time, even if he’s hundreds of feet away watching a squirrel!
We have spent countless hours developing the UnlE-eashed™ Method using a combination of training
methods developed by world-renowned trainers, and have refined the UnlE-ashed™ Method into a training
method that must be seen to be believed!
What we do is calming and effective for both you and your dog. Call us for a free demonstration!

"Ami began biting me when we encountered other dogs in our neighborhood ... Fortunately,
my veterinarian referred me to Maureen who immediately recognized this behavior as
“leash aggression” and said that it was very treatable. Ami immediately appeared calmer
when Maureen introduced her to the remote electronic collar and I watched with
amazement as her response to other dogs changed within a matter of seconds, right before
my eyes. After that, Maureen taught me the techniques to keep Ami calm myself. Thanks to
her experienced eye, superior skill, and practical approach, Ami and I now take relaxing
walks without having to worry about out-of-control reactions, let alone biting. Maureen was
the only trainer who understood and skillfully managed my dog’s aggression. I will definitely
consult with her in the future and I’ve recommended her to several friends." - Brenna L.

“Miraculous would not be too strong a word to describe Emma, my 65lb. Retriever/Lab mix, following her training with Maureen... We had worked with three previous trainers, to no avail. Then, a kennel owner friend of mine highly recommended about these amazing transformations he’d seen in dogs Maureen had worked with. We bit…and what a difference! Maureen really assessed and got to know Emma, explained all of her behavior (she really understands what motivates dogs), and she then gave me strategies that were easy to implement. Today Emma is a stable, loving member of our family... Life is good again! I have the great dog I knew was there under all of that chaos! Everybody is happier. Thank you Maureen!”

Virginia, I can't thank you enough for training Teddy to enjoy a happy, joyful life. He would never have been happy living life on a short leash. It's amazing to see how quickly Teddy responds. I will always remember seeing how happy Mr. Ted was while diving into the pond, swimming, retrieving the tug and then bringing it right back. I know there will be a lot of swimming in our future. We can enjoy our Teddy while he enjoys life. I feel much more secure traveling with Teddy as he is so well mannered and quick to respond. I especially admire and respect that all Ted's training was done with a calm voice and great patience. Many thanks to Dawn also, for her patience and for loving Ted."
Many Thanks, Chris S.

I just want to thank you both for the training that Riley and I received. He is amazing and enjoyable
thanks to you! One of my favorite areas of change is his respect of the word "place". I have a
wonderful work out area in my basement that I had not used for the first 6 months of Riley. Anytime I
used the elliptical or the weights, there would be Riley, running around like a crazy man, so I got this
bright idea to put him in a portable crate while I worked out....well he would just whine or
bark...working out to relieve stress just caused me more stress. Now, I say "place" and he stays on his
mat, doesn't try to "spot" me when I am lifting weights, in fact he usually just falls asleep. It is
wonderful. Tonight at obedience class, another lady turned to me and asked how old Riley was and
said how well behaved and attentive he was for his age...I get compliments like that a lot now, I am soo
proud of him. Thank You.
The thing is, I know he also really missed you guys when he got home....so thanks for being kind to him
too.
